Use the following instructions to register your own private DNS NameServers on a domain name registered with LA Servers.
- Login to your domain name account using our Domain Manager by entering your username and password
- NOTE: You're not making changes to your domain's DNS, you're going to CREATE new private nameservers.
- Once you're logged in to your domain name account, click "NameServer Management"
- Next to the words "Create a new nameserver" click the "New" button.
- Enter the name for your new PRIMARY nameserver. It can be named anything you want but would typically be named something like ns1.YourActualDomainName.com or dns1.YourActualDomainName.com
- Also enter the IP address of your new nameserver.
- NOTE: If you signed up for our DNS - Custom Name Server Web Hosting Plan, you'll find the IP addresses for your new nameservers in your Control Panel under Customer Support/Knowledge Base/ Tech Support Knowledge Base/ DNS.
- Click "Continue" and you will see that your new nameserver has been created.
- Then Click "Continue" again and repeat steps 1 though 6 again to register your SECONDARY nameserver.
